East County Pregnancy Care Center
The East County Pregnancy Care Center cares for women and their unborn children. They provide accurate information about the life growing inside of every pregnant woman and provide life-affirming alternatives to abortion. They speak the truth in love and provide a loving refuge where each woman will find unconditional love, acceptance and support. The Center is truly a safe haven where a woman can make a confident and informed decision regarding her future and the precious life within her.
The Pregnancy Care Center exist to provide help for women and teens struggling with a crisis pregnancy. Volunteer receptionists, medical support and peer advisors interact with clients on a daily basis, offering a listening ear, accurate information, referrals, and emotional, spiritual and physical support.

Thanks for your hard work putting this together! Amazing tool.
I’m a high school teacher. I held a young girl today as she cried tears of sadness. I had asked her if she was pregnant. She responded, “I was”. I reached out and held her as she cried. She had been told she might have some feelings afterward. She says “I know I did the right thing, I didn’t have any other choice.” I bit my tongue, as I am a public school teacher. However, I know that what she is experiencing is guilt and the the for forgiveness. Is there a support group that I can direct her to, or visit with her? she is 15 years old, a great student with good grades and great citizenship at [local high school], where I am her teacher.
I look forward to hearing back from you. Please respond ASAP. Her boyfriend is currently living in another city. They are a very sweet couple, very much in love, good together, but sure did make a big mistake.

JW, thanks for your heart for this girl. I understand your limitations as a teacher and am thankful you are still trying to help her. As for support suggestions, the East County Pregnancy Care Clinic (as it is now called) offers a Post-Abortion Workshop (For Women & Men). Kaleo Christian Counseling Center is a good place to start for general counseling. I’ll look into abortion specific options and get back to you.
